Chisinau International Airport
As we will be travelling through wine cellars, where the temperature is constant all year round, approx. 14-16 degrees, it is better to bring some warm clothes.
Our guide or company representative will meet you at the airport.
During the transfer to the hotel, you will get to know a few details about the country as well as the overall itinerary and some travel tips.
After the check-in at the hotel, you are free to explore the city, have lunch/dinner, and rest after the flight.
First thing in the morning, we will travel towards Orhei Vechi (Old Orhei) region, where you will get the possibility to visit the cave monastery, to admire the fantastic views of the valley, to explore the traditional village and enjoy a lunch in a rustic atmosphere.
Next is the visit Cricova Wine cellars. The wines from Cricova collection have an ancient history: the oldest bottle is dated from 1902. The local guide will tell you the odyssey of some bottles from this collection that have got here after the Second World War. At the end of the excursion you can taste 4 samples of the most famous wines.
Upon the return to Chisinau, you will have a walking city tour of the center where you will also get some dinner suggestions.
During this day, we will be travelling back in time, to URSS, by visiting the self-proclaimed independent territory Transnistria. Here you will first visit the Bender Fortress- where Charles XII stayed with his army, but now this territory is used by 14 Russian army.
Following the excursion of the fortress, is the city tour of Tiraspol. You will be visiting the monument of Vladimir Lenin and tanks left from the Second World War. The city seems to be a ghost of the Soviet past, but fascinating nonetheless.
End the day by making an excursion at KVINT brandy distillery where you’ll get a chance to taste 5 types of brandy an even to buy some for yourself!
Today is definitely only Wine Day! First is the visit to Asconi winery. Here is where Moldavian traditions and colors, meet the great taste of wine. Not only you will hear the wine making process, but also will taste the wines combined with amazing rustic dishes that will leave you wanting for me. It’s a great loacaton for those seeking to see the authentic life in Moldova, as the winery is full of beautiful decorations gathered from all over the country!
Next stop is Mimi Castle Winery, which is a very modern winery, with a beautiful layout and fantastic wines! In 2011 one of the most ambitious restoration projects in Moldavian history begun, at the end of which Castle Mimi got back its charming appearance from the beginning of the last century. The winery went through an intense modernization process, being endowed with best advanced equipment for wine production, storage and bottling, that are unique in Moldova.
After the check-out you will be transferred to the airport.
