Midsummer at Castel Mimi

On July 5, Castel Mimi invites you to experience a truly unique midsummer evening in Moldova: “De Sânziene, at Castel Mimi”. Set against the backdrop of lavender fields and historical architecture, this special event blends ancient traditions with elegant wine culture for an unforgettable night under the open sky.

Starting at 4:00 PM, guests will be welcomed into a magical atmosphere inspired by the mystical Sânziene celebration, an old Romanian midsummer custom that honors nature, femininity, and spiritual renewal. Throughout the evening, visitors can take part in symbolic rituals such as weaving lavender flower crowns, interpreting wax fortunes, and dancing in circles to folk-inspired music.

The experience includes a guided tour of the castle’s wine cellars, where guests will explore the story of Constantin Mimi and enjoy unlimited tastings of “Sânziene” wine, a signature rosé crafted specially for this event.

Whether you’re a tradition lover, a nature enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique summer evening escape, this event offers a well-rounded experience for all ages. The outdoor spaces feature grassy picnic areas, sports and games stations, and comfortable seating under shaded terraces. Younger guests can enjoy the Cinema Room, a dedicated space with child-friendly films and creative activities in a safe and engaging environment.
